Newt Gingrich and Calvary Chapel – Connections That Beg Answers According to various news sources, Newt Gingrich is soon to add his name to the Presidential race. In a Time magazine article, it states that Gingrich, a former Baptist for 65 years, converted to Roman Catholicism in the spring of 2009. Some researchers have connected Gingrich to the Jesuits as per the following links even before his conversion: http://www.arcticbeacon.com/articles/4-Jun-2007.html Two years ago, the same year of his “conversion,” Gingrich was sponsored by and welcomed at Fordham University, the Jesuit university of New York. Recently, Newt Gingrich was a guest speaker at the “Rediscover God in America” conference held in the sanctuary at Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa. George Barna was also a participant. Barna, educated by the Jesuits, was a Catholic and claims to have become a born-again Christian. (See: http://www.lighthousetrailsresearch.com/blog/?tag=jesuits)
Also
speaking at the Rediscover God in America conference was David
Barton. Barton speaks at a number of Calvary Chapel venues including
Calvary Chapel Pastor’s conferences. He has erroneously told his
audiences that the American Founding fathers were Christians while
covering up the fact that many of them were connected to the Jesuits and
Masons.
While
Ergun Caner did not speak at the Rediscover God in America
conference with Gingrich and Barton, he is member of the Veritas Faculty
that meets in the, Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa property, the Logos
Building, as well as at their property at Murrieta, CA. Ergun Caner has
also gained a reputation of fabricating stories while on the faculty of
Liberty College but is now on the Calvary Chapel premises as a faculty
member. What is the explanation for such things? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwRIOLbTBR4

It is interesting to note that Calvary Chapel also has the descending “dove” as their logo, which once was the logo for Maranatha Music , which was sold to Chuck Fromm. Not all Calvary Chapels have the dove. And some that did have it have taken it down. Some may say, it is just a symbol, and connections should be made. Maybe so, but there are connections to apostasy at Calvary Chapel, and they are becoming more apparent with each passing day. Perhaps this is why many at Calvary Chapel are waking up and finding smaller churches to attend where the signs of deception are not as numerous. But a question that lays heavy on the hearts of many is why are Calvary Chapel pastors throughout the world not speaking up and not asking for answers? Are we in the age of strong delusion? I believe the answer is a resounding yes. April 27 - Gingrich blasts secular 'fanaticism' at prayer breakfast FULL ARTICLE: http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2011/04/27/gingrich-blasts-secular-fanaticism-at-prayer-breakfast/ Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich condemned the growth of American secularism in harsh terms Wednesday at a Catholic prayer breakfast in Washington. It's a pet topic for Gingrich, who converted to Catholicism two years ago. His 2006 book "Rediscovering God in America" opened with the blistering line: "There is no attack on American life more destructive and more historically dishonest than the secular Left's relentless effort to drive God out of America's public square." Gingrich, who is expected to formally announce a 2012 presidential bid in the coming weeks, drilled down on that theme at the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast. Reading from prepared remarks, Gingrich walked the audience through his "faith journey to Catholicism" and recalled a discussion with Reverend Monsignor Walter Rossi of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington. The two men chatted about "the crisis of secularism in Europe and the growth of a government-favored pagan culture to replace Christianity," he said, and agreed that American churchgoers are now facing a similar predicament. "The American elites are guided by their desire to emulate the European elites and, as a result, anti-religious values and principles are coming to dominate the academic, news media, and judicial class in America," Gingrich said. He said the "constant secular pressure" guided him to embrace Catholicism.
