Bryce Homes Kenya Update |
||||||
About eight years ago, Understand The Times and Lighthouse Trails conceived a vision to distribute basic resources to several needy families in Kenya. At this time Bryce Homes Kenya was birthed. While offering physical assistance to widows and orphans around the world, it was noted that there was a serious need to teach them about the saving relationship they should have with Jesus Christ. The Bryce Homes program has progressively impacted the lives of many widows and orphans in Kenya. This has been made possible by supporters who have continuously stood with the Bryce Homes Program throughout the years. This month, the administration of Bryce Homes Kenya gathered information to help assess the spiritual aspect the program has had and how it has impacted in the lives of the widows and orphans. With their own statements, the widows had the following to say: |

Mary: From my childhood, I was brought up in a sort of ‘traditional Christianity’ where the gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ was not preached. All I knew was that one needs to identify with a religion in order to have the possibility to go to heaven. Today I can boldly testify of the major spiritual gains I have realized since I confessed my sins having learned of the saving relationship that man should have with Jesus Christ. We continue to thank the Bryce Homes Program for supporting the servants of God who offer spiritual nourishment to us | ||||||

Susan: My life, before the intervention of Bryce Homes knew no peace. I had always lived in conflict with my neighbors as part of a large family. At one time I had to flee from home because I felt no one cared for my life. My children were adversely affected by my departure since no one took care of them. They had to fend for themselves and even went without food for days. When Pastor Achilla reached out to me and introduced me to the Bryce Homes Program, I gave him a listening ear. It is at that time when he preached to me about the love of Jesus. I simply accepted and confessed my sins and was reborn. My life has greatly changed for the better. My prayer is that the Almighty God may continue to use UTT to reach out to many who are perishing.

Jane # 29: If there is something that I will never forget about this program, it is the gospel of love. I thank God I can now understand why ‘love’ was the key word that guaranteed us the salvation we profess today. John 3:16 - for God so loved the world that He gave His only son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. The Bryce Homes Program has manifested the love of Jesus in in a special way.

Pastor Lucas: I count myself blessed since the Almighty God has given me His sheep (Bryce Homes) to look after. I feel so encouraged to hear of the good testimonies from these little ones. When Pastor Achilla invited me to come along and serve together with him. I did not know what the future held for us. All the Glory is given to Jesus Christ!
Bryce Homes Kenya continues to impact the lives of widows and orphans as well as other vulnerable families. We therefore thank our supporters and pray that God may continue to grant them favor for the good work they are doing. Some of these widows are yearning to start small businesses to enable them to become sustainable. A few are already supported and are progressing well. This month, Phoebe received startup capital through a generous donation and she has started a fish selling business. We wish her well as we pray for others to get assistance too. May the Almighty God richly bless all the readers.
