Revelation 14:14-15 "Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe."
Comment: While these verses for the future are taken from the Book of Revelation, based on the current events, are clearly for the present. The time for the harvest of souls is at hand. While the world faces the greatest apostasy in the history of the planet, God is not done saving souls. If He were, then we would no longer be around.
Application: Two things are happening on planet earth. There is a great apostasy as predicted by the scriptures, however, God by His grace is saving the lost, especially in third world nations. While those who once were taught the Bible are now following church growth methods to build bigger churches, true men and women of God are sharing the gospel with widows, the orphans and the poor who are ready to receive salvation. The problem we face is that while we are in the very midst of harvest time, the workers are few and far between. False shepherds are building megachurches in the name of Christ heading towards a One World Religion believing they are on the way to a world-wide revival. Meanwhile, "another spirit" is being poured out as the masses are being deceived to follow the Antichrist. The Holy Spirit is touching the weak and the humble and small fellowships of believers are meeting in homes and coming know the true Savior.
