He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist."

Comment:

This portion of scripture written by Paul to the Church at Corinth lays the foundation for the Christian faith. Every Christian should memorize this to be able to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with unbelievers. You cannot understand Christianity unless you understand that the Creator is Jesus Christ. He came to this earth and lived a sinless life and His life was sacrificed on the cross. His precious blood was shed for our sins. Think about the significance. The one who created everything, provided a way that we can spend eternity with Him because of the sacrifice He made. The question for each of is, have be accepted the sacrifice He made.

Application:

It is important to take the time to try and comprehend what the Creator of the universe has done for each one of us. When we look around at the creation we can see the magnificent handiwork of God. He made everything including mankind. Because Satan enticed Eve and Adam to sin, the entire planet fell, was cursed and then degenerated from then on. While it seemed this was the end of the story, the Creator had another plan by coming to this planet himself and providing redemption to those who would receive the eternal gift of salvation that He provided. It is not possible to be a Christian and a follower of Christ unless you understand this important truth.
