God's Word For Today

Psalm 16:8-10

"I have set the LORD always before me; because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; my flesh also will rest in hope. For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption."

Comment:

The Psalmist provides the biblical foundation for a successful walk with God while we journey here on planet earth during a human lifetime. As long as we choose to be led by the Lord and remain with Him, He will lead us, guide us and protect our way. Such a situation provides hope and happiness. Knowing Him and what He has done for us will give us confidence where we will spend eternity. For those who contemplate eternity, there are two possibilities � heaven or hell. What a comfort to know that we can spend eternity with the Creator of the universe and never be separated from Him.

Application:

Life is full of choices. The most important choice we will ever make is where we spend eternity. While it is easy to become comfortable here on planet earth, we need to be reminded that we are only passing through from the time we are physically born to the time we die. Make sure you make the right choice to be obedient to the call of salvation and accept the sacrifice that Jesus made so we can have eternal life with Him.
