God's Word For Today |

Job 12:7-12 "But now ask the beasts, and they will teach you; and the birds of the air, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you; and the fish of the sea will explain to you. Who among all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this, in whose hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind? Does not the ear test words and the mouth taste its food? Wisdom is with aged men, and with length of days, understanding."
Job explains clearly the fact that all living creatures were created by the hand of God. I often use this portion of scripture after presenting the two views of origins – creation and evolution. There is no excuse not to believe as the evidence is overwhelming. What is even more significant is the fact that human beings need to make a clear decision with regard to the reality of creation. We have been given a mind that can evaluate the evidence and there is no excuse not to be able to make the right decision.
Application: Understanding there is a Creator who made all things is the very foundation of the Christian faith. I do not see that it is possible to understand the need for a Savior unless you also understand there is a God who made all things. In the beginning, all that God made was perfect but because of the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, the descendents of Adam and Eve were also impacted by the curse and destined to a lost eternity.
