God's Word For Today

Psalm 31:1-3

"In You, O LORD, I put my trust; let me never be ashamed; deliver me in Your righteousness. Bow down Your ear to me, deliver me speedily; be my rock of refuge, a fortress of defense to save me. For You are my rock and my fortress; Therefore, for Your name's sake, lead me and guide me."

Comment:

Most Christians profess a faith in Jesus Christ but never understand who He is and how He guides and protects our lives. As the Psalmist wrote Jesus is our fortress and defense against all evil. This does not mean that we are immune from Satan�s devices. Satan is the destroyer and hates believers. We should daily pray for protection.

Application:

It is important that we do not take God�s protection for granted. It is important to abide in Him and His word. In these very difficult days we should call upon the Lord to be our refuge each day when we wake and thank Him each night when we lie down to rest.
