God's Word For Today

John 14:26

�But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you."

Comment:

Christians speak of the Holy Spirit. However, understanding who the Holy Spirit is and what He does is far more important than just words. The Word of God is the truth and the Word tells us that the Holy Spirit will guide us into the truth and that the Holy Spirit dwells in believers. In I John 14:16-17 we read �And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Application:

The question to ask yourself is do you sense that the Holy Spirit dwells in you and that you are being guided by the Holy Spirit. Sometimes Christians lean more to their own understanding and follow their flesh that is led by Satan. This can happen to anyone of us at any time of the day. We need to strive to be always led by the Holy Spirit.
