Proverbs 14:22

"Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good."

Comment:

According to Solomon, those who devise evil plans will suffer for their actions. This means there are serious consequences for willfully devising evil plans. The contrast is that those who are showing mercy and truth are good servants of the Lord. The benefits they reap will be bountiful and bring great reward.
