God's Word For Today

Psalm 118:9

"It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes."

Comment:

Many unbelievers and even so-called believers have ignored this sound council and reversed the words to read that is better to trust in mere man than it is to trust in the LORD. Humans naturally see human leaders with their eyes and hear what they are saying with their ears. Thus they are inclined to place their trust in what they can see and hear, rather than in Jesus Christ who is the Creator of all things. This is a sad state of affairs for which there are serious consequences.

Application:

It is never too late for anyone to reverse the direction they are headed and to trust in the LORD rather than to trust in man. Stop and think about your own life and the decisions you have made. Who do you actually trust in on a daily basis � yourself, your political leaders, your religious leader or your pastor who may be not following Jesus, the Good Shepherd. It will be profitable for the rest of your life to make the right decision and to follow Jesus.
