God's Word For Today

Matthew 11:28-30

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

Comment:

The best and the only way to get through life is to be yoked with Jesus Christ, the Creator of the universe. Who possibly could be a better partner. He is the one who knows all things and has the solution to all of life�s problems. This does not mean that we are guaranteed a life without problems. What it means is that we can walk with our hand in His hand through life. While Satan tried to snatch a believer out of His hand, Jesus will never leave us or forsake us.

Application:

It is well to remember how close Jesus is to us in regard to everything we do, every day, 24-7. This way we do not attempt to solve our problems alone and without the One who made us and cares for us. Satan does all that he can to make us feel that we are on our own and that all we do is by our own effort. We need to break that model and remain yoked to Jesus.
