God's Word For Today

Genesis 1:16

"Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also."

Comment:

Colossians chapter one states that the one who created everything is the one who saved us from our sins. Clearly, Jesus Christ is the Creator of the heavens and the earth. This should give everyone who believes great confidence that Jesus is in complete control of their lives and that His creative ability means that He can also heal what needs to be fixed according to His will.

Application:

Few believers understand the scope of who Jesus Christ really is and what He has done. Perhaps looking at the sun and moon shining each day and night would be a good reminder for us. Stop and think about who Jesus is. Stop and think that he dwells in our hearts. Stop and think that He cares for us as individuals and has a complete knowledge of all that we do.
