God's Word For Today

Jeremiah 31:10-11

"Hear the word of the LORD, O nations, And declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He who scattered Israel will gather him, And keep him as a shepherd does his flock. For the LORD has redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of one stronger than he."

Comment:

These words written by the Prophet Jeremiah many years ago lay out the fact of the past scattering of the Jews and the regathering of Israel in these last days of time before Jesus Christ returns. The God of the Bible predicted they would be scattered. They were. He also predicted that His people would return to their home land. They are returning. The Bible is true.

Application:

While the world and even the Church scorns Israel, the God of the Bible has not done so nor will He ever forget them. The question is � which side do you choose to be on. God has stated that those who bless Israel He will bless and those who choose to persecute them will be punished. What does this mean to leaders of countries who are enemies of Israel or even indifferent. Stop and think!
