God's Word For Today

Romans 10:17

"So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

Comment:

Christians throw around the term �faith� as if it is a commodity that can be understood as a force obtained by some mystical technique. Not according to the Word of God!

Faith, that is biblical faith, comes to the one who hears the Word of God. Faith is not a feeling, nor is it something that can be conjured up by some mystical technique. Further, Paul stated, we are saved by faith, not by works, lest any man should boast.

Application:

Are you confused what it means to have faith? Do you have biblical faith? If you are a Christian, you should be firm in your convictions. You cannot please God without biblical faith. Unbelievers can have faith in many unbiblical ideas or practices. It is a fact that faith today is becoming more and more ecumenical as a multitude of faiths come together for the cause of peace and brotherhood. The Bible tells us this is the way it will be at the end of time. Don't fall for the "lie."
