Ephesians 5:22-24 "Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything."
Comment: This portion of scripture needs very little discussion. If you can read, you can read how Paul instructed women to be are married to men. Of course, if you are in a same sex marriage, this would not apply to two females, one claiming to be a woman and the other a man. God’s order, is God’s order. As Jesus is head of the church of Jesus Christ, a man should be the head of his household. Sometimes the order gets reversed and then there is a problem.
Application: This portion of scripture does not give men the license to rule over their wives as despots. Some do and this is not only wrong, it is an abomination. Women, should be treated as “weaker” vessels but given respect in all that they say and do. When wrong, they need to be corrected. As Peter wrote: Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honor unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered (1 Peter 3:7). In many cases the man is so weak in the Lord that the wife has to take the leadership with her family. This is not God’s order and will result in a myriad of problems
