God's Word For Today

Isaiah 60:19

"The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory."

Comment:

The prophet gives insight into what it is going to be like here on planet earth in the future when there is literally a new planet and a new earth. There will be no more sun to give light by the day or the moon by night. The light will be the light of the Lord. The Lord will be the everlasting light.

Application:

If you are a believer, don�t get too attached to planet earth as you presently know it. If you are not a believer and you die in your sin then you will be in another location and you will not be seeing the light of the Lord. You will be forever separated from Him. This should be a very sobering thought. Read the entire book of Isaiah beginning from chapter one to get the right perspective.
