Senior representatives of Christian Churches of Jerusalem expressed their solidarity with the local Muslim community on Monday. According to Fides News Agency, the delegation visited the Al-Aqsa mosque to give their support in response to “recent provocative actions staged by Jewish settlers” near the Muslim holy site.
Among the members of the delegation was Catholic Bishop William Shomali, the Patriarchal Vicar of the Latin Patriarchate, Anglican Bishop Suheil Dawani, and the Armenian Patriarchal Vicar, Joseph Kelekian.
