October 21 - Canadian Government uses Aware software for biometric visa applicant screening

Aware has announced that several Government of Canada departments and agencies have deployed its software as part of a new biometric visa applicant screening tool.

Specifically, the tool uses biometrics to help screen applicants from certain countries who apply for a visitor visa, study or work permit. The new tool uses Aware�s Biometric Services Platform, as well as Universal Registration Client and related COTS APIs.

The company�s Biometric Services Platform is a modular and centralize app use to implement workflows and manage data exchange between various government departments.
