An interreligious prayer service was organized by National commission for interreligious Dialogue & Ecumenism (Catholic Bishops Conference – Pakistan) in connection with Pakistan Day.
A number of Muslim and Christian Leaders participated in this prayers service. The prayer ceremony was presided by His Grace Archbishop Sebastian Francis Shaw; the chairman of the commission. Fr. Francis Nadeem OFM Cap, the executive secretary NCIDE was the main organizer of the prayer service. On this occasion Muslim and Christian Leaders offered prayers for the promotion of interfaith harmony, restoration of peace and progress of the country. They also prayed for the success of armed forces to control the prevailing wave of terrorism and bloodshed in the country and paid homage for their deliberate efforts. Special prayers were also said for the protection of minorities in the country.
