February 9 - This Technology Could Finally Make Brain Implants Practical

Man's attempts to connect computers with brain tissue will
continue in the future as a way to turn humans into robots.
The question is, will these hybrid beings eventually change
the nature of what it means to be human?
In
labs testing how brain implants could help people
with physical disabilities, tales of success can be
bittersweet. Experiments like those that let a
paralyzed person swig coffee using a robotic arm, or
that let blind people "see" spots of light, have
proven the huge potential of computers that
interface with the brain. But the implanted
electrodes used in such trials eventually become
useless, as scar tissue forms that degrades their
electrical connection to brain cells (see "The
Thought Experiment").
Next month, tests will begin
in monkeys of a new implant for piping data into the
brain that is designed to avoid that problem. The
project is intended to lead to devices that can
restore vision to blind people long-term.

pastoral direction at Medjugorje, he would tell
the priests to teach the Bible and warn the poor
people that they are being deceived by
apparitions and apparitional messages. The Bible
warns about such appearances of spirit beings
that masquerade as agents of truth.

appointed Archbishop Henryk
Hoser of Warszawa-Praga as a
delegate of the Holy See to
look into the
pastoral situation at Medjugore,
the site of alleged Marian
apparitions in Bosnia and
Herzegovina. "The mission has
the aim of acquiring a deeper
knowledge of the pastoral
situation there and above all,
of the needs of the faithful who
go there in pilgrimage, and on
the basis of this, to suggest
possible pastoral initiatives
for the future,"
stated a Feb. 11 communique from
the Vatican Secretariat of
State.

February 14 - NASA: A peanut-shaped asteroid might bang Earth!

There are numerous asteroids passing near the earth that have the
potential to bring about the destruction that is coming on the planet
according to the Bible. It is not a question of if this will happen, but
when.
The NASA
has lately warned about a
potentially dangerous, peanut-shaped
asteroid which may slam Earth one
day.
Dubbed as 2015 BN509,
the asteroid is 200 meters (660ft) wide and 400
meters (1,310ft) long. The space rock was found
to pass by Earth at a distance of 70,500km
(44,000mph) last week. The closest proximity
between the Earth and the asteroid was equal to
14 times the distance between the Moon and
Earth.

Science sells these ideas in the name of progress. Surely the God of the
Bible sees what man is doing. The question is, how long before the
judgment?
In the not-so-distant
future, research suggests, eggs and sperm may no
longer be needed to make a baby -- at least not
in the traditional way.
In 2016, scientists in Japan
revealed the birth of
mice from eggs made from a parent's skin cells,
and many researchers believe the technique could
one day be applied to humans.
The process, called in
vitro gametogenesis, allows eggs and sperm to be
created in a culture dish in the lab.
