March 25 - Globalists - Through UN - Force U.S. Into Libyan War
Article: Wars And Rumors Of Wars
Comment from Understand the Times:
When the
money men of the world dictate to the President of the United
States, the United States has no sovereignity left. Of course this
is the way it has been for years. We are in the last days and the
666 plan is almost here.
Rick Warren
is doing his part to bring the One World Religion together. Others
who support Rick Warren are not speaking up and exposing the
lie because they have their hands tied behind their backs
The United
States, under Bilderberg-Trilateral
Commission orders, is now engaged in not two, but three wars in
the Middle East where America has no legitimate national
interest. But the world's entrenched international
financiers do have a huge interest in war profits, purchased at
the cost of soldiers' blood.
These powerful globalists also perceive
maverick rulers like Libya's Muammar Qadaffi as roadblocks in
their push for establishing a world regime.
Before the U.S. joined the invasion, Qadaffi
sent a personal letter to President Obama in which he reportedly
told Obama that Islamic fundamentalists
tied to al Qaeda were the primary source of the ongoing
political troubles in North Africa-including Libya. Qadaffi
challenged Obama: "If you had found them taking over American
cities by the force of arms, tell me what you would do?"
This was no "crazy conspiracy theory" coming from the
eccentric Libyan strongman alone. Even Secretary of Defense
Robert Gates-among other high level figures in the American
military diplomatic intelligence community-raised
concerns (like Qadaffi) about the possibility al Qaeda might be
responsible for some of the unrest in Libya and/or that al Qaeda
could benefit from the consequences of American intervention.
While the globalists were manipulating the United States
into war in Libya-which is looking increasingly like it is about
to become a classic "quagmire" of the Vietnam-Afghanistan-Iraq
mode-two-thirds of Americans among a broad cross section in
several polls expressed opposition to the Afghanistan war. In
addition, polls show that
many Americans believe the U.S. cannot afford another war given
the current state of the economic situation and joblessness in
the United States.
Nevertheless, Bilderberg-Trilateral
Commission power is so strong that these two pro world
government groups were able to put America's fighting men and
women into harm's way, and they did it by having the president
seek guidance, not from Congress, but from the world's
governmental body-the UN. As we go to press,
the United States is raining bombs down on Libyan cities in
another undeclared war.

March 24 - Controversial book on salvation has Catholics and evangelicals asking for clarity
Article: Roman Catholic Church And The Last Days
Comment from Understand the Times:
The fact that
the Catholic Church or any other church claims to have the right to
determine the rules with regards to who goes to heaven or who does
not is absolutely ludicrous. The rule has been set in the Bible as
per the finished work of the cross and the sacrifice that Jesus
made. Either you accept that sacrifice and repent for your sins or
you do not. The gospel according to the scriptures is clear. There
are two places to spend eternity - heaven or hell.
"Love Wins," a new book
by prominent evangelical pastor Rob Bell, was creating
controversy weeks before it was released on March 15, for its
non-traditional proposals about eternal salvation and God's
judgment. Now, Catholic and evangelical voices are calling for
clarity in discussing the issues it raises.
While the book raises
more questions than it answers, some reviewers have
interpreted it as an argument for universal salvation, a
position most evangelicals would regard as not biblical. Bell
also suggests that there could be an opportunity for faith and
repentance after death, and that God's condemnation of some
individuals may not be final.
The Catholic Church
denies the possibility of either
post-mortem repentance or a temporary hell, and most Catholic
theologians have regarded universal salvation as an
impossibility. Pope John Paul II wrote that
the "silence of the Church" was "the only appropriate position"
on the question of whether any particular person was saved or
lost.
Bell also speculates
that some non-Christians may
reach salvation through a type of implicit or unconscious
relationship to Christ. The Catholic Church
accepts this notion as a possibility, in instances where
individuals have failed to receive the Gospel message by no
fault of their own.
John Michael Talbot, a
Catholic recording artist with close ties to the evangelical
world, told CNA that all Christians must be careful in
approaching the subject of death, judgment, and the afterlife -
particularly those who rely
upon "scripture alone," without the Church's definitive teaching
authority. But Talbot said Bell, and other
like-minded evangelicals, "lack
the full set of tools to find those deeper answers" - which
Catholics are given through "sacred scripture, apostolic
tradition, and the magisterium, or teaching authority, of the
church."
Talbot said that
the Catholic understanding of
salvation portrays God's character more accurately than the
common Evangelical teaching that assumes all non-Christians are
damned.
"Love Wins" also
contains a passage in which Bell expresses
anxiety for the fate of those who die suddenly and unexpectedly,
without having become Christians. He indicates that the notion
of an immediate and final judgment after death makes God turn
from "kind and compassionate" to "cruel and relentless, in the
blink of an eye."

March 23 - Unreported Soros Event Aims to Remake Entire Global Economy
Article: One World Government
Comment from Understand the Times:
Between George Soros, Peter Drucker and Rick Warren, we are well on
the way to the 666 plan laid out in the Bible. George Soros is even
calling for a "global policeman" who could bring it all together.
We at UTT are amazed at how silent the Calvary Chapel movement
has become on these issues. Apparently, there will be some sort
of announcement made soon from headquarters that Calvary Chapel
stating that it is not for the emerging church that leads to
Rome, nor does it support the One World New World Order that
sets up the Antichrist. This will be very welcome as many are
confused and many pastors are bent on promoting the emerging
church agenda.
Meanwhile the social gospel, the political agenda to save
America and the intellectual agenda to bring in a higher
level of education with a plan to destroy what once was
Protestant Evangelical Christianity, is well underway. In
plain language, this is the Jesuit-Masonic Plan that has
been in place and is very much part of the Counter
Reformation.
Two years ago,
George Soros said he wanted to
reorganize the entire global economic system. In two short
weeks, he is going to start - and no one seems to have noticed.
On April 8, a
group he's funded with $50 million is holding a major economic
conference and Soros's goal for such an event is
to "establish new international rules" and
"reform the currency system." It's all
according to a plan laid out in a Nov. 4, 2009, Soros op-ed
calling for "a grand bargain that
rearranges the entire financial order."
The event is
"bringing together"
more than 200 academic, business and government policy thought
leaders' to repeat the famed 1944 Bretton Woods gathering that
helped create the World Bank and International Monetary Fund.
Soros wants a new 'multilateral system," or an economic system
where America isn't so dominant.
Thus far,
this global gathering has generated less
publicity than a spelling bee. And that's with at least
four journalists on the speakers list, including a managing
editor for the Financial Times and editors for both Reuters and
The Times. Given Soros's
warnings of what might happen without an agreement, this should
be a big deal. But it's not.
Soros
described in the 2009 op-ed that U.S.-China conflict as "another
stark choice between two fundamentally different forms of
organization: international capitalism and state capitalism." He
concluded that "a new
multilateral system based on sounder principles must be invented."
As he explained it in 2010, "we
need a global sheriff."
"Reorganizing the world order will need to
extend beyond the financial system and involve the United
Nations, especially membership of the Security Council,'
he wrote. 'That process needs to be initiated by
the US, but China and other developing countries ought to
participate as equals." Soros emphasized that point, that
this needs to be a global
solution, making America one among many. "The rising powers must
be present at the creation of this new system in order to ensure
that they will be active supporters."
The Soros
empire is silent about this new Bretton Woods conference because
it isn't just designed to change global economic rules. It also
is designed to put America in its place - part of a multilateral
world the way Soros wants it. He wrote that
the U.S. "could lead a cooperative effort
to involve both the developed and the developing world, thereby
reestablishing American leadership in an acceptable form."

March 22 - Brian McLaren Defends Rob Bell against Mohler's Critique
Article: Emerging Church
Comment from Understand the Times:
According to Brian McLaren, Rob Bell can rewrite the Bible and
the meaning of hell because Jesus did not of actually mean what
He said.
So using this same logic, why would anyone believe that Rob Bell
meant what he said. How do we know that his book stating that
there is no hell is not what he said at all? Maybe
Brian McLaren should be questioned if what he said in his books
is what he said. Maybe the ideas were not from him at all, but
instead were the ideas of Jesuits who have a goal to destroy the
Word of God and make the Bible the Word of man, while at the
same time making the pope's word the word of a god
Controversial evangelical pastor Brian
McLaren has come to the defense of Rob Bell, taking
on R. Albert Mohler, Jr.'s critical review of Bell's new
book, Love Wins, in a recent blog post. For weeks,
evangelical leaders have hammered Bell for his views on
heaven and hell as expressed in his new book Love Wins.
Bell is accused of being a
universalist, dismissing the sacrifice of Jesus' death on
the cross, and not believing in hell, among other things.
In his blog post
defending Bell, McLaren uses a baseball metaphor to point
out four errors in Mohler's critical arguments against the
book.
First, McLaren
takes issue with Mohler's line of argument that his
interpretation of the gospel is the gospel itself and
that Bell is attempting to promote a different version of
the gospel to make it more popular. McLaren
responded, "[H]e (Mohler) is wrong to assume that Rob is
saying his story is better than Jesus' story. Rather, Rob is
suggesting that Jesus' original story
(as he interprets it) is better than
the version many hold and proclaim today."
No articulation of the gospel today
can presume to be exactly identical to the original meaning
proclaimed by Christ and the apostles,
McLaren argued. He said
Christians therefore should proclaim their interpretation
with "humble confidence" rather than "a naive and excessive
confidence."
According to
Mohler, God's holiness and justice requires the traditional
doctrine of hell.
McLaren wrote that
concerns raised over the traditional doctrine of hell are
based on justice and holiness, not because of
sentimentality. However, he pointed out that
"it's very hard to square the idea of
eternal conscious torment with a just or holy God." Even
from a human stand point, a human father punishing his
children's disobedience with 10 seconds in the fireplace
would be unjust and unholy, said
McLaren. If a definition of
justice and holiness characterized by "the
imperfect...suffering eternal agony" would be unworthy of a
human being, "how much more unworthy of God whose justice
must be better than our own," he asked.
In his third
point, McLaren rejected Mohler's argument that those who
reject the traditional doctrine on hell is embracing a
liberal theology that killed and emptied out many mainline
Protestant churches at the end of the 20th century. McLaren
also suggested that mainline Protestantism might not be
dying at all but preparing
for the birth of a new generation of Christianity. Also,
evangelicals might be headed toward a similar downfall as
the church has a higher college attendance rate or grapples
with hypocrisy or disconnection from real-life issues.
McLaren concluded
his post by asking for those who ascribe to a traditional
view of hell to give a "fair hearing"
to those who "can't in good conscience defend that view

March 24 - You Always Have a Mother - John Paul II on Love for Mary
Artcle: Roaman Catholic Church and The Last Days
Comment from Understand the Times:
The head of
the Roman Catholic Church should read the Bible. If he does he will
see that his statements are not only unbiblical, they are
blasphemous
Every good son delights to
see his mother praised. This is even more so the case with the Lord
Jesus and his Blessed Mother, Mary. It warms
Jesus' heart to see Christians showering praises upon his mother.
And thus, love for Mary
never conflicts with love for Christ. John Paul
II always considered such a suggestion to be impossible.
No one can love Mary to the exclusion
of Jesus because Mary always leads a devout soul to closer intimacy
with her Son.
In the case of John Paul II,
a tender relationship with Mary provided him
with a maternal influence throughout life. He had lost his
own mother, Emilia, before he was nine. In subsequent years,
it was his heavenly mother Mary who smoothed
off his rough edges, who bound up his wounded heart, who stood with
him at the foot of the cross and taught him to repay hatred with
love.
Thus John Paul II spoke to young people about Mary in his
2003 world youth day message:
Jesus gives his Mother to you so
that she will comfort you with her tenderness. She will discharge
her ministry as a mother and train you and mold you until Christ is
fully formed in you. This is why I now wish to
repeat the motto of my episcopal and pontifical service: "Totus
tuus."(completely yours) Throughout my life
I have experienced the loving and forceful presence of the Mother of
Our Lord. Mary accompanies me every day in the fulfillment of my
mission as successor of Peter. Mary is the Mother of divine grace,
because she is the Mother of the Author of grace. Entrust yourselves
to her with complete confidence! (John Paul II,
"Message of the Holy Father John Paul II for the 18th World Youth
Day," March 8, 2003, 3-4.)

April 7 - Laptops and Other Electronics May Be Seized on Entry to US
Article: One World Government
Comment from Understand the Times:
It seems that
governments around the world are ever increasing their powers for
the sake of what? What is next? Will there be a One World Order that
restricts people from traveling anywhere, like it was in Russia?
If you can't let a day go by
without accessing your personal data and files, you'd better think
twice about crossing the border back into the U.S. with your
computer. That's because digital devices such
as a laptop computer can be seized at the border without a warrant
and sent to a secondary site for forensic inspection.
That ruling from the U.S.
Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit last week is the second in
less than a year that allows the
U.S. government to conduct offsite searches of digital devices
seized at the border without a warrant, Network
World reported.
This could have big
implications for business travelers, in particular, who are
increasingly mobile and frequently carry laptops and other digital
devices containing sensitive personal and company information across
our borders. If your data reveals traces of
criminality or illegal kinkiness when examined, your troubles will
go way beyond temporary data denial.
The Ninth Circuit Court
ruling came in a case involving a man whose laptop was seized at the
Mexican border when he re-entered the country at Lukeville, Ariz.
Because he was a registered sex offender, custom officials
confiscated his laptop computer for inspection.
In upholding the
government's argument, the Ninth Circuit Court noted that several
other courts including the U.S. Supreme Court have recognized that
by definition all border searches are
reasonable because they occur at the border. The
transportation of his computer was justified because the forensic
tools needed to adequately search the computer were not available at
Lukeville, a small, unincorporated community with a population of
35.

April 11 - Scientific solutions to sin?
Article: Miscellaneous
Hamilton - Most people are
familiar with the seven deadly sins - pride, envy, gluttony, lust, wrath,
greed and sloth - but could there be
molecular solutions for this daily struggle between good and evil?
That's what first year bachelor of health sciences students
in the undergraduate biology course at McMaster University were asked to
find out: their assignment required that they explore
the molecular underpinnings of human misbehaviour.
For the project, 181
students were divided into 18 groups, randomly allotted to deal with one of
the four deadly sins - sloth, gluttony, lust and wrath. They were expected
to read sources to devise molecular ways to counter these sins. Group
progress was monitored over 12 weeks by P. K. Rangachari, professor
(emeritus) medicine in the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine and 3M
National Teaching Fellow in the BHSc (Hons) program. Randomly selected
students were not only regularly questioned about the work and its progress
but defended their group's approaches to the entire class. Molecules
explored included the neurotransmitters dopamine and serotonin, as well as
testosterone and others. A final report was graded.
"Coming in as first year
students we expected to be told what to do and be guided," said Faysal Naji,
19. "But, we were faced with the challenge of taking a
sin - something we never formerly related to biology - and we had
to find out how that sin was somehow related to the body's physiological
function."
By getting students to
think outside the box, the aim was to come
up with the best molecule and design for a drug, or remedy, that counteracts
sin.
"Arguments were flying
left and right," said Naji. To reduce lust, for example,
one group suggested targeting testosterone; others
chose prolactin or oxytocin. Another group "invented" a wrath-o-meter that
would sense changes in brain transmitters that signaled rage attacks and
counter that with an automated nasal spray with an anti-wrath drug.
The chosen interventions
had to be defensible on scientific grounds. It was in reality an exercise in
rationality, logic, synthesis of information and a
willingness to transfer learning to something never seen before.
Imaginative solutions
offered by the second batch of students included the
use of a spray to dispense a molecule to stimulate people to action and
targeting pheromones to counter lust.

April 10 - Bolivia enshrines natural world's rights with equal status for Mother Earth
Article: Miscellaneous
Bolivia is set to pass
the world's first laws granting all nature equal rights to humans. The Law
of Mother Earth, now agreed by politicians and
grassroots social groups, redefines the country's rich
mineral deposits as "blessings" and is expected to lead to radical new
conservation
and social measures to reduce pollution and control industry.
The country, which has been pilloried by the
US and Britain in the UN climate talks for demanding steep carbon emission
cuts, will establish 11 new rights for nature. They
include: the right to life and to exist; the right to continue vital cycles
and processes free from human alteration; the right to pure water and clean
air; the right to balance; the right not to be polluted; and the right to
not have cellular structure modified or genetically altered.
"It makes
world history. Earth is the mother of all", said
Vice-President Alvaro García Linera. "It
establishes a new relationship between man and nature, the harmony of which
must be preserved as a guarantee of its regeneration."
The law, which is
part of a complete restructuring of the Bolivian legal system following a
change of constitution in 2009, has been
heavily influenced by a resurgent indigenous Andean spiritual world view
which places the environment and the earth deity known as the Pachamama
at the centre of all life. Humans are considered equal to all other
entities.
But the abstract new laws are not expected to
stop industry in its tracks. While it is not clear yet
what actual protection the new rights will give in court to bugs, insects
and ecosystems, the government is expected to establish a ministry of mother
earth and to appoint an ombudsman. It is also committed to giving
communities new legal powers to monitor and control polluting industries.
Foreign Minister
David Choquehuanca said Bolivia's traditional indigenous respect for the
Pachamama was vital to prevent climate change.
"Our grandparents taught us that we belong to a big family of plants and
animals. We believe that everything in the planet forms part of a big
family. We indigenous people can contribute to solving the energy, climate,
food and financial crises with our values," he said.
In the indigenous philosophy,
the Pachamama is a living being.
The draft of the new law states: "She is
sacred, fertile and the source of life that feeds and cares for all living
beings in her womb. She is in permanent balance, harmony and communication
with the cosmos. She is comprised of all ecosystems and living beings, and
their self-organisation."

April 15 - Humanist Bible Copies the Christian Look but Leaves God Out
Article: Miscellaneous
Atheist-humanist Anthony C.
Grayling's The Good Book mimics the Bible
right down to language and its use of books, chapters and verses.
But its sole message, the author insists, is to think for yourself
and dictate your own good life. Grayling, a leading
U.K. atheist, was in Washington Thursday night to talk about his latest work
at an event co-sponsored by the Center for Inquiry.
He said he modeled The Good Book: A Humanist Bible after
the structure of the Bible because of its effectiveness.
The Good Book takes
great pains to appear similar to the Judeo-Christian Bible, the bestselling
book of all time. Judging from the exterior, the book has been constructed
to have a similar size and weight as the Bible. The humanist bible even
takes on a moniker commonly associated with the Bible.
The book of Genesis in
the Bible illustrates God as Creator of the universe and of mankind. In
The Good Book, its book of Genesis states,
"All things take their origin from earlier kinds:
Ancestors of most creatures rose from the sea, some inhabitants of the sea
evolved from land-dwelling forefathers."
The Bible's first book
also includes the story of Adam and Eve eating the forbidden fruit from the
tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Meanwhile,
at the front of The Good Book is the story of
an apple falling on philosopher Isaac Newton's head.
And while the Bible establishes that humanity, by nature of Adam and Eve's
actions, is innately sinful. The Good Book establishes
that everything and everyone is innately good.
He thus decided
to create a more philosophical bible using source
material from the likes of Aristotle, Confucius, Darwin, and Lord
Chesterfield. He reasoned, "If
they (the writers of the Bible) had gone to those sources and put them
together, they would have made a different book and maybe there would have a
different history as a result."
During his Thursday talk,
he faulted the Bible and the spread of religion for humanity's strife. He
asserted that the fanatical study of the Bible and other religious texts
prompts followers to commit acts of violence in the name of God. He
denounced the Bible as false because it holds itself as being the sole
source of truth.
By contrast, Grayling
argued that The Good Book, which he compiled over the course of 30
years, embraces plurality. He believes
study of his humanist bible will promote free thinking because his bible is
not about rules or deities. "There's no command there to believe, to accept,
to obey. There's no promises of rewards or threats of punishment,"
the 62-year-old outlined.
Grayling's plan is to
make sure his book becomes a long-lasting resource available to all. During
the talk, he vowed to have the book printed
in a pocket-sized version as well as a picture version for children.
He joked, "If it does last a
long time, let's say 500 years or something, I've got a very good [chance]
at being a god." He quickly added that this was not his aim and that he
would likely be "a lousy god."

April 17 - Storm's fury over 6 states leaves at least 40 dead
Article: Signs Of The Last Times
A furious storm system that
kicked up tornadoes, flash floods and hail as big as
softballs has left at least 37
people dead on a rampage that has stretched for days as it barreled from
Oklahoma to North Carolina and Virginia.
Emergency crews searched for victims in
hard-hit swaths of North Carolina, where 62
tornadoes were reported from the worst spring storm in two decades to hit
the state. Ten people were confirmed dead in Bertie County,
county manager Zee Lamb said.
The storm claimed its
first lives Thursday night in Oklahoma, then roared through Arkansas,
Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia. Authorities have said seven died in
Arkansas; seven in Alabama; two in Oklahoma; and one in Mississippi.
In North Carolina, the governor declared
a state of emergency and said the 62 tornadoes
reported were the most since March 1984, when a storm system spawned 22
twisters in the Carolinas that killed 57 people - 42 in North Carolina - and
injured hundreds.
One of the volunteers who scoured the rubble
was an Iraq war veteran who told Lamb he was stunned by what he saw. "He did
two tours of duty in Iraq and the scene was worse than
he ever saw in Iraq - that's pretty devastating," Lamb said.
"There were several
cases of houses being totally demolished except for one room, and that's
where the people were," he said. "They survived. Pretty devastating."

April 5 - Amid New Threats, Israel Preps for Multi-Front War
Article: Wars and Rumors Of Wars
A new Israel Defense Forces
report reveals that since 2006, Israel's neighborhood
has grown a lot more dangerous. According to the March 31 report,
Hezbollah has been busy in southern Lebanon for the past five years. The
terror group has built more than 500 bunkers armed with various weapons, 300
underground facilities, and 100 storage units for rockets, missiles, and
other weapons. Many of these facilities are located near hospitals, homes,
and schools.
Uzi
Rubin, Israel's foremost missile and rocket expert, told CBN News
the threat to the Jewish state was "severe."
"Those bunkers are not in
population centers just by mistake," Uzi Rubin noted.
"The idea here is to attack Israeli population centers
from Hezbollah population centers, to attack our population centers in order
to terrorize and discourage us to fire from their population centers in
order to use their own population as a human shield," he explained.
Rubin
said Hezbollah's arsenal has quadrupled since 2006 to
more than 40,000 rockets and missiles. He explained that for Israel, there
is a bigger concern than the number of weapons..
"Now,
instead of spreading it around kilometers away from the target, they can put
them within 500 meters of a target," Rubin explained.
"Now they are becoming not just a terror threat, they are becoming a
military threat."
This
means Israel's national infrastructure,
including power plants or Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, could become
targets.
With Hezbollah's rockets now capable of reaching central Israel, the
northern border isn't the only danger zone. Add the rockets from Hamas in
the south and all of Israel is in range of its Islamic enemies.

March 26 - European countries want UN, not U.S., to advance Mideast peace talks
Article: Israel And The :Last days
Britain, France and Germany want the United Nations and the
European Union to propose the outlines of a final settlement of the
Israeli-Palestinian conflict that would lead to the
establishment of a Palestinian state, UN diplomats said.
The three European countries, all members of the
UN Security Council, are pressing for Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and
the European Union to propose a settlement text at a meeting in
mid-April of the Quartet of Mideast mediators, the diplomats
said, speaking on condition of anonymity because talks are taking place
in private.
Putting the job in the hands of the EU and the UN
would sideline the United States, Israel's closest ally which
has tried unsuccessfully for months to get face-to-face negotiations
going, as well as Russia, an ally of the Palestinians.
The big question mark is whether
the United States would allow the Europeans and UN to take the lead in
trying to resolve the standoff, and that is likely to depend on whether
the Israelis give a green light, the diplomats
said.
The Palestinians insist they will not resume peace
talks until Israel halts settlement building in the West Bank and east
Jerusalem, lands Israel captured in the 1967 Six Day War which
the Palestinians want for their future state.
Since the U.S. efforts have been unsuccessful,
diplomats said the three European powers decided
to try a new approach in hopes of breaking the deadlock.
The diplomats said the three European countries have
delivered the message in key capitals - including Washington and
Jerusalem - that if the parameters of a final
settlement are endorsed, the Palestinians will return to the negotiating
table.

March 28 - Iran Film: Iran Plans to Conquer Israel, World
Article: Wars And Rumors Of Wars
A feature-length documentary film,
produced by a top adviser to Iranian President Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad, claims that the cataclysmic events that will usher in an era of
Muslim world domination are about to begin, triggered by actions launched by
Iran and its Lebanese ally, Hezbollah.
Iran's Ahmadinejad repeatedly
talks about the coming of the 12th imam, a Muslim
messianic figure whose "reappearance" will make Islam victorious over the
entire world. He begins every public speech - including
his yearly address to the United Nations - with a prayer
that his actions will "hasten the return" of the 12th
imam.
Now former Revolutionary Guards officer Reza Kahlili,
who defected to the West after spying on behalf of the CIA inside Iran for
more than a decade, has obtained a bootlegged copy of
a new film made by Ahmadinejad's office that lays out the Iranian
president's scenario for how the end times will begin.
It won't be pretty for Israel, the United States, or
U.S. allies in the Middle East.
It all begins with the death of King Abdullah of Saudi
Arabia, revolts in Egypt and Yemen, and
ends with Ahmadinejad and Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah leading Muslim
armies to conquer Jerusalem.
The film, called "The Coming Is Upon Us,"
is now being shown at Revolutionary Guards and
paramilitary Bassij Corps bases around Iran, and will soon be released in an
Arabic-language edition for mass distribution in the Arab world.
"Their intention is to incite
further uprisings with the hopes of motivating Arabs to overthrow
U.S.-backed governments, with the final goal of the annihilation of Israel
and Allah's governance of the world," Kahlili tells
Newsmax.
To a backdrop of militarist pictures of Iranian leaders with crowds of
Hezbollah fighters and driving music, the
film claims that a nation "from the East" will rise up to prepare the way
for the reappearance of the Mahdi. That nation, of course, is Iran.
The key figure in this Iranian end-times scenario is a
mythical descendent of the Prophet Muhammad named Seyed Khorasani, who will
deliver the flag of Islam into the hands of the 12th imam in person.
The film claims explicitly that this leader is
none other than Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic
Republic of Iran.
"The pursuit of nuclear bombs by the radicals ruling Iran is directly
connected to this belief, as war, chaos, and lawlessness must engulf the
world to pave the way for Imam Mahdi's reappearance,"
Kahlili says.

March 31 - Google making app that would identify people's faces
Article: Technology For Glaobal Monetary System
Google is working on a
mobile application that would allow users
to snap pictures of people's faces in order to access their personal
information, a director for the project said this week.
Google's Profiles product includes a user's name,
phone number and e-mail address. Google has not said what personal data
might be displayed once a person is identified by its facial-recognition
system.
The technology wouldn't necessarily be rolled out in a separate app,
a Google spokesman said. Instead, facial
recognition could be issued as an update to an existing Google tool, such as
its image search engine.
Google has had the technical capabilities to implement this type of search
engine for years.
Just as Google has crawled trillions of Web pages to
deliver results for traditional search queries, the
system could be programmed to associate pictures publicly available on
Facebook, Flickr and other photo-sharing sites with a person's name,
Neven said. "That we could do today,"
he said.
Neven Vision specialized in object and facial recognition development. The
object-related programs are reflected in an image search engine, called
Goggles. The face-recognition technology was
incorporated into Picasa, Google's photo-sharing service, helping the
software recognize friends and family members in your computer's photo
library.
Google acknowledges the nefarious
ways someone could leverage facial-recognition technology.
Many people "are rightfully scared of it," Neven said. "In particular, women
say, 'Oh my God. Imagine this guy takes a
picture of me in a bar, and then he knows my address just because somewhere
on the Web there is an association of my address with my photo.' That's a
scary thought. So I think there is merit in finding a
good route that makes the power of this technology available in a good way."
A facial-recognition app could tie in to social-networking initiatives
Google is said to be working on. For example, people
looking to connect online could use their phones to snap each other's
pictures and instantly navigate to that person's profile, rather than having
to exchange business cards or remember a user name.
