January 19 - Multiple Paths Lead To One World Government
Article: One World Government
That we live in a world of "Agenda Politics" is
absolutely clear. Governments come and go, but the agenda never changes.
Policies left incomplete by one
government are taken up with gusto by the next. Civil servants get
involved in writing party manifestos.
One of the most
obvious of the agendas that our politicians are pushing is that of
"World Government". The British Parliament is now
subservient to so many foreign bodies and institutions it is hard to
keep count. The most obvious example of those organisations, of course,
is Julian Huxley's United Nations. It was Franklin Roosevelt who first
coined the term "United Nations". His vision, however, was for a forum
of sovereign nations; a world apart from what the United Nations has
become. A hint came in July 2010, when the Queen addressed the UN
General Assembly. She said:
This September, leaders will meet to
agree how to achieve the Millennium Development Goals when each
nation will have its own distinctive contribution to make ... Since
I addressed you last,
the Commonwealth, too,
has grown vigorously to become a group of nations representing
nearly two billion people. It gives its whole-hearted support to the
significant contributions to the peace and stability of the world
made by the United Nations and its Agencies. Last November, when I
opened the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Trinidad and
Tobago, I told the delegates that the Commonwealth had the
opportunity to lead. Today I offer you the same message.

January 25 - Will the next iPhone feature biometric fingerprint technology? Signs point to yes.
Article: Technology For Global Monetary System
It's widely anticipated that the next iPhone will feature a
fingerprint scanner, and there are a lot of signs pointing to this being
the case.
According to a report in
the Huffington Post, in a report from Kuo to investors, it was included
that Apple's next iPhone, to be
released in the third quarter of 2013, would feature a "fingerprint
sensor."
Besides Kuo's predictions, there have been a
number of deals that have made the idea of a fingerprint sensor in the
iPhone look likely, and BiometricUpdate.com has been
following this story closely since last year. In 2012, Apple entered
into an agreement to purchase AuthenTec for approximately US$356
million. Authentec
specializes in strong fingerprint-based security, ideal for mobile
devices. Later in the year, it was reported that
AuthenTec would stop selling fingerprint
technology to any of Apple's competitors, starting
in 2013. This included a significant list of existing customers such as
Samsung, HP, Dell, Lenovo and Fujitsu.

January 25 - School of Mines testing biometric payment program
Article: Technology For Global Monetary System
The South Dakota School of Mines &
Technology is partnering with a
technology firm to offer a pilot biometric program on campus.
Developers hope the pilot program
will one day lead to a cashless society. The university says it
is the first in the country to use the technology.
The Nexus
Smart Pay pilot program is
being tested by 50 students and faculty at two locations on
campus. The faculty and students pay for goods by scanning their
finger. The money is then taken out of an account that students
and faculty have deposited money into.
The
university's acting president, Duane Hrncir, says
the university is proud to be not only the
first university but the first organization to pilot the
program. Nexus USA developed the smart pay program.

January 30 - Catholic, Protestant Churches Sign Historic Baptism Agreement
Article: Ecumenical Movement - Protestants Uniting With Roman Catholics
Comment from Understand the
Times:
The pathway towards unification with Rome
is becoming more and more apparent to those who can see the coming One World
Religion with headquarters in Rome. Unfortunately, while this is taking place,
there are fewer who are willing to point out this sign of the End Times and warn
the sheep.
For example, those who follow leaders, many of them who follow the Purpose
Driven model promoted by Rick Warren, claim that "it is better to be known for
what you are for than what you are against." In doing so, they close their eyes
to the signs that reveal Bible prophecy is underway and become part of the
deception that is underway.
Leaders representing
the Roman Catholic Church and some American
Protestant denominations have signed an agreement in Texas to recognize each
other's baptisms. After about six years of dialogue, the United States
Conference of Catholic Bishops, the Reformed Church in America, Presbyterian
Church (U.S.A.), the Christian Reformed Church in North America, and the United
Church of Christ signed a document recognizing each other's liturgical rites of
baptism. The five denominations signed the "Common Agreement on Mutual
Recognition of Baptism," affirming the baptism agreement on Tuesday evening at a
prayer service held at St. Mary's Cathedral in Austin.
"Together we affirm that, by the sacrament of
Baptism, a person is truly incorporated into the body of Christ (I Corinthians
12:13 and 27; Ephesians 1:22-23), the church. Baptism establishes the bond of
unity existing among all who are part of Christ's body
and is therefore the sacramental basis for our efforts to
move towards visible unity," reads the document.
