June 25 - Israel's biometric database to begin operating in two weeks
Article: Technology For Global Monetary Sysytem

Israel's pilot biometric database will begin operations in two weeks, Deputy Interior Minister Fania Kirshenbaum announced Monday.

The database was supposed to have started working in November 2011, but its commencement was delayed due to longer-than-expected legislative proceedings, an appeal to the High Court of Justice by the Association for Civil Rights in Israel (which was turned down) and a labor dispute between the Population and Immigration Authority and the Finance Ministry. This dispute was resolved two weeks ago, removing the last obstacle for implementation of the project.

The Population Authority issued a statement saying that there was no timetable as of yet, and that due to the complexity of this initiative, schedules might still change.

The biometric database is a computerized compilation of data, collecting and centralizing fingerprints and facial features of all citizens of Israel, as part of a process of issuing new 'smart' identification documents. The digital chip in the new 'smart' I.D.s will contain biometric data to enable the bearer to be identified according to physical traits, fingerprints and facial features.

June 28 - Mouse cloned from just a drop of blood
 Article: Cloning And Genetic Engineering

A team of Japanese scientists has cloned a mouse from a single drop of blood, demonstrating for the first time that mice can be duplicated using "circulating blood cells."

Announcing their findings in the journal Biology of Reproduction, the researchers described how they took blood from the tail of a donor mouse, isolated the white blood cells and used the nuclei for cloning trials. This process is called "somatic nuclear cell transfer", the same cloning technique scientists used to produce Dolly the sheep in 1996, the BBC reported.

June 24 - The Move Toward Becoming A Cashless Society
Article: Technology For Global Monetary Sysytem

It seems Texans, like most citizens around the world, are moving toward becoming a cashless society.

Dennis Simmons, the president and CEO of Dallas-based SWACHA, one of the largest not-for-profit electronic payment associations, referred to the new rules requiring that all social security recipients born after 1921 get direct deposit and that almost all public assistance payments are now done electronically. "There's been a huge growth in the amount of monies that are being put onto these prepaid cards for people to have access to mainstream banking services," he said.

Simmons said handling large transactions is easy, but there still needs to be work on developing ways to handle small, everyday purchases. "There's some movement in those areas to make those so-called P to P, person to person payments, more electronic."

June 25 - Church of England to Blend Christianity with Paganism to Attract Spiritualists
 Article: Miscellaneous

Here's a new twist on church growth: creating a pagan atmosphere and branding campaign for New Age spiritualists in order to increase the number of bodies in the pews. The Church of England is actually training its ministers to create "a pagan church where Christianity [is] very much in the center" to attract spiritual believers.

That means changing the Anglican church doctrine to make it more inclusive for people of alternative beliefs. The Church of England admits that its motive is to retain congregation numbers who have embraced paganism.
The Church Mission Society, which is training ministers to "break new ground" in order to get spiritual people into churches.

If you've come from a Seeker-Driven model, that might actually sound like a good thing. Get them in the doors and tell them about Jesus, right? But make no mistake; that is not what is happening here. The Jesus the Church of England is re-creating is not the Jesus of the Bible

June 28 - UK may approve creating babies with DNA from 3 people
 Article: Cloning And Genetic Engineering

Britain may allow a controversial technique to create babies using DNA from three people, a move that would help couples avoid passing on rare genetic diseases, the country's top medical officer says. The new techniques help women with faulty mitochondria, the energy source in a cell, from passing on to their babies defects that can result in such diseases as muscular dystrophy, epilepsy, heart problems and mental retardation. About one in 200 children is born every year in Britain with a mitochondrial disorder.

For a woman with faulty mitochondria, scientists take only the healthy genetic material from her egg or embryo. They then transfer that into a donor egg or embryo that still has its healthy mitochondria but has had the rest of its key DNA removed. The fertilized embryo is then transferred into the womb of the mother.

June 26 - License-plate readers let police collect millions of records on drivers
 Article: One World Government

When the city of San Leandro, Calif., purchased a license-plate reader for its police department in 2008, computer security consultant Michael Katz-Lacabe asked the city for a record of every time the scanners had photographed his car. The results shocked him.

The paperback-size device, installed on the outside of police cars, can log thousands of license plates in an eight-hour patrol shift. Katz-Lacabe said it had photographed his two cars on 112 occasions, including one image from 2009 that shows him and his daughters stepping out of his Toyota Prius in their driveway.

June 28 - Multiple Government Agencies Are Keeping Records Of Your Credit Card Transactions
 Article: One World Government

Were you under the impression that your credit card transactions are private? As you will see below, there are actually multiple government agencies that are gathering and storing records of your credit card transactions.

And in turn, those government agencies share that information with other government agencies that want it. So if you are making a purchase that you don't want anyone to know about, don't use a credit card. This is one of the reasons why the government hates cash so much. It is just so hard to track.
