November 19 - Dallas late-term abortion clinic opens

An ordained minister has opened the Southwestern Women's Surgery Center, a late-term abortion center, in Dallas.
72-year-old Curtis Boyd has set up the surgery center to kill unborn babies up to the 24th week of pregnancy. During an interview with WFAA television, the abortionists makes a blatant statement saying, "Am I killing? Yes, I am. I know that."
Though Boyd is an ordained Baptist minister, he is currently an active Unitarian and says he prays for the unborn babies he is about to kill, but his prayers are different than those of pro-life counselors outside the clinic. Boyd says he is only troubled by the torment that drives girls and women to his clinic and leaves them to resort to having abortions. He confesses that the patients aging "as young as nine and ten years old" are the hardest for him. Boyd also admits to performing back alley abortions before they were legalized by the Supreme Court in 1973. Boyd has found that he has to extend a special effort to maintain privacy because of objections to his practice. He keeps his address and phone numbers confidential and maintains heavy security.
