Comment from Understand The Times:
A representative of Understand The Times has been to St. Peter's Chapel many times. He has observed perpetual adoration each time that he has been there. On several occasions, he was asked to leave the chapel where "Jesus" was being worshipped in a container, the monstrance.
When he asked why he was being asked to leave, the secret service who were monitoring the people, threaten him with not only words but also a hidden weapon.
When the representative asked if the pope knew what was going on, the security guard said, "What does it matter to you, you scum bag." When the representative left St. Peter's quietly, he was followed and asked to produce his ID. Luckily, the representative had forgotten his passport in his hotel room. He also left his wallet in a safe because he didn't wanted to get robbed while visiting St. Peter's. When he asked if he could see the pope to tell him how rude the security guards at St. Peter's were, he was told that the pope wasn't in charge at the Vatican any more.
"Who is in charge"? the representative of Understand The Times asked. The answer: We are not able to give you the answer at this time in history.
September 20 - Atonement Mass Planned for Sins Against Life
A Mass of
Atonement will be celebrated in St.
Peter's Basilica in
reparation for all sins against life,
as part of a congress celebrating the
15th anniversary of "Evangelium Vitae."
Fischer explained that the encyclical "Evangelium
Vitae" was the inspiration for this
event, as it states, "Filled with this
certainty, and moved by profound concern
for the destiny of every man and woman
[.] a great prayer
for life is urgently needed, a prayer
which will rise up throughout the world"
(100).
The goal, he noted, is that
a "large-scale
urgent prayer for life should at last
become a reality."
He affirmed: "Our hopes with this
congress are to spur and foster such
prayer activities
so that a great movement of prayer
breaks forth worldwide. This is
what will break down the walls of lies
of the culture of death
and make the
building up of the culture of life
possible."
The congress will include various
lectures as well as daily Mass
celebrated in both the ordinary and
extraordinary forms, the praying of the
angelus and the Divine Mercy chaplet,
Eucharistic adoration
and confession.
The director spoke about his experience
working with in Austria, where
"we have
five chapels of perpetual adoration in
our Life Counseling Centers."
