December 19 - Texas Megachurch Offers Christmas Services in 3-D

Fellowship Church, a megachurch based in the Dallas area, is forgoing the typical Christmas pageant to offer Christmas services in 3-D.
The church, headed by Pastor Ed Young, will be offering 21 services that promise to be a Christmas experience folks have never seen.  Each attendant is given a pair of 3-D glasses in order to watch the high-tech service.

"We're doing a 3-D Christmas because people are looking for height, width and depth in their lives," Young told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "We'll have some of our musical numbers using video in 3-D."

The church has been busy promoting the novel approach to Christmas with billboards announcing the service times and by encouraging congregants to send out 3-D invitations.

On the Fellowship Church's website, Young his wife, Lisa, are featured in a 3-D invitation card that pops out when users hold a specially-designed image before their webcam.

He encourages viewers to bring their family and friends "to experience Christmas like you've never seen it before."
