A best-selling author and founder of one of America's largest churches visited one local hometown Monday. Rick Warren was in Lynchburg, speaking to students at Liberty University.
During convocation Monday morning, Warren encouraged students to let God use their lives for a greater purpose.
Warren wrote "The Purpose Driven Life," a New York Times best-seller that's sold more than 30-million copies. He's the senior pastor at Saddleback Church in California, which boasts the nation's eighth-largest congregation.
Warren was supposed to speak at Lynchburg's Thomas Road Baptist Church yesterday. He had to postpone his visit due to a scheduling conflict.
