Can you imagine Paul sending a congratulatory message to the pagan worshippers of his day? Tony Blair claims to be a Christian. His concept of working together with all religions to make the world a better place is not found in the Bible.
October 28 - A Message For Diwali

It gives me great pleasure to send my best wishes to all those who are celebrating Diwali.
This festival of great hope is of course of special importance to the Hindu, Sikh and Jain communities. But its message is one which can hold meaning for everyone. It is good to be reminded of the potential for the victory of good over evil, light over darkness and knowledge and wisdom over ignorance. But these desirable ends need continually to be worked at by members of all communities if they are to be achieved, if we are to ensure that those suffering from evil and wrong doing can be given justice, that those plunged into the darkness of sorrow or disease are healed and that those mired in ignorance can be given the means to escape it. The festival should be a call to all of us across the faiths to redouble our efforts, to continue to work for these great and noble goals.
I wish all those celebrating this New Year festival a happy and prosperous year to come and may it be one in which the realm of light increasingly prevails.
