We have just received an e-mail from Elisha, one of our Bryce Homes leaders in Myanmar asking for prayer. He wrote:
Dear Friends,
Prayer is needed for our native people. In Chin State and in Kalay valley our people are in great trouble for heavy rain has occurred for 8 days without ceasing.
There is only one bridge that over thousands of people depend on. This is on the way to the village where my wife Christina came from. That bridge was underwater yesterday. Six of the villagers were drowned. Four people were rescued. One person was found and one women still missing who has 3 children. There is no hospital in those villages. They have no other way to get their food and supplies from other towns.
.
Water is flooding in Kalay town. Thousands of people have to depart their house on boat.Even in Chin State, 100s of houses have collapsed and destroyed Roads have been washed out. All transportation and communication has been cut off by the strong force of rivers. It is so difficult to rescue the victim to supply food and drinking water. Mountains are flowing down. People don't know what to do. Only few rice fields are left for the people.
This morning my cousin’s sister's son was drowned with his motor bike. This happened because the bridge collapsed when he crossed the river. His body is not yet found. They are really in need of help.
Please pray with us.
In Christ,
Elisha
